Teaching

"It is my greatest desire to see my students flourish in all they do, in more than just music, music just happens to be the vehicle."

— Dr. Ben Blasko

"Dr. Blasko's gift as a teacher is not showing you the path, but walking alongside you as you discover your own."

— Kaleb Clarke, Former Student - Arranger and Orchestrator

Teaching Philosophy

At the center of my teaching philosophy is the belief that music is both an individual and communal act. As a conductor, composer, and educator, I view every rehearsal, lesson, and conversation as an opportunity to help students discover their artistic voice while developing the skills and discipline necessary to express it authentically.

My role as a conductor & educator is not only to refine technique and knowledge but also to cultivate curiosity, empathy, and artistic conviction; qualities that empower musicians to make meaningful contributions in their communities.
