Dr. Ben Blasko is an accomplished conductor, composer, educator and recording engineer. He currently serves on the graduate faculties of Messiah University and the University of Texas, El Paso, and has served on the faculties of Bethel University, Lipscomb University, and the University of Dubuque. He holds degrees from the University of North Texas, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Messiah University.
Blasko has conducted ensembles such as the Nashville Symphony, the Green Hills Wind Symphony, and the Agora Brass Ensemble; he serves as the resident conductor/orchestrator for Tommee Profitt's "The Birth of a King." His compositions have been performed globally by groups such as the U.S. Navy and Airforce Bands.
He has recorded artists such as Alan Baer of the New York Philharmonic, Tromba Mundi, Pianist Misha Dichter, the Grimethorpe Brass Band, and the North Texas Wind Symphony. In 2024, his recording work of "Caribbean Berceuse" was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
Additionally, he was a quarterfinalist for the GRAMMY Music Educator Award in 2023.
